Home to legendary musicians and artists like Tycho, Matthew Dear, Heathered Pearls, Michael Cina and Andy Gillmore Ghostly International has taken the concept of independent label and flipped it on it’s head. Carefully curated and detail-obsessed everything they do exudes taste – and their merchandise is no different.
Here are a few of our favorite selections from the Ghostly International section of Merchbar.
Our Ghostly script comes courtesy of Michael Cina.
Printed with black water based ink on a heather grey, 100% combed and ring-spun cotton, 30 single 4.2 oz/yd², unisex crew.
Adorned with one Ghostly and one Spectral Sound logo, these slipmats have been printed with a new gaseous ink transfer process that embeds the design in the fibers of the mat, protecting your precious vinyl from surface contact. The undersides are glazed to reduce friction between the mat and turntable. Stylish, functional, deadly.
Give your iPhone a Ghostly face with these vinyl decals. The wear-resistant decals fit perfectly over the iPhone’s Apple logo, giving the ghost a pair of shimmering, metallic eyes. Each set includes three decals built to stick to a variety of smooth surfaces. Fits all generations of the iPhone.
Commissioned on the occasion of our 10 Year Anniversary in 2009, this somewhat haunting drawing by Andy Gilmore has remained one of our favorite Ghostly tees in the intervening years. The newest version has been printed with discharge ink for a super soft feel.
The search for our Ghostly Enamelware Mugs was no easy task. We followed many leads to many dead ends before finally connecting with our manufacturer in Europe, a producer of top quality enamelware done the old fashioned way.
Originally conceived in 1948 and later patented in 1966 following a few modifications, the Fisher Bullet Space Pen is an industrial design icon.
Thanks to a nitrogen pressurized ink cartridge that allowed astronauts to write in zero gravity, Fisher pens were first used on the 1968 Apollo 7 mission and later became the official writing instrument of all manned space flights. The closed design of the cartridge not only allows you to write upside down, under water, over grease, and in extreme temperatures, it also gives the pen an extensive shelf life.
The humble Bullet Space Pen has been exhibited for years at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and has been featured in countless books and magazine articles on product design. Our version of the pen comes with a discreet laser etched Ghostly logo on the barrel.
