Originally formed in 1998 as "Rowdy Roger and the Motherfuckers", the Motherfuckers have survived numerous lineup changes, broken bones, road-trip catastrophes, and disastrous live shows. Despite general apathy and self-destructive tendencies, the Motherfuckers have remained a strong force in the Calgary punk rock scene. "Classless Society" is the long-awaited follow-up to 2001's "If It Ain't Puke, It Ain't Punk." Recorded by Casey Lewis at Calgary's famed Echo Base Studios, "Classless Society" marks a giant leap forward in both production quality and songwriting for the Motherfuckers. The songs on this album range from early "Rowdy Roger"-era material to brand-new masterpieces. With the new additions of guitar wizard El Roach-o (of The Uglies and Cheapshot fame) and the manic bass assault of Jay Misery (former member of such notable Calgary bands as No Coast Hardcore, the Riot Nrrds, and the Blotto Boys), this album also showcases the most powerful and coherent Motherfuckers lineup to date.
