Woodstock headliners Creedence Clearwater Revival were a 1960s roots and blues rock band, bringing the Southern lifestyle to life. The band was also a politically active icon of the time, producing music protesting the war. 28 million record sales to their name, their short career was successful.
The group has sold over 30 million albums in just the United States, but they were also a prolific tour band in their heyday. Creedence Clearwater Revival performed in venues around the world, including a show at Woodstock in 1969. Unfortunately, tensions within the band caused the group's 1972 dissolution, but the work of Creedence Clearwater Revival might just be beloved forever.
