In 1990 the Grateful Dead made an appearance at Cal State in Los Angeles, California. Playing songs like “Samson and Delilah” and “The Last Time,” the band entertained a large audience in temperatures that reached above 80 degrees. While conditions were not ideal, the concert has been described by fans as a historic favorite.

Commemorate this concert with your very own Grateful Dead “Playin’ in the Field” concert shirt. The shirt features two of the most iconic logos in music history. The logo on the front of the shirt was originally designed by Owsley Stanley and artist Bob Thomas and was originally used as a logo to mark the band’s equipment. The back features the skull and roses design composed by Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse. The drawing was an illustration of a 1912 edition of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. The design originally appeared on a concert poster and it was later used as the cover for the album Grateful Dead (1971).
