Going into the June 26 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™ race at Sonoma Raceway, Chase Elliott had never competed on the road course in the series.
So Elliott did the best thing possible – he entered that weekend’s NASCAR K&N Pro Series West™ race. His appearance in the Chevys Fresh Mex 200 provided him some valuable seat time and allowed him to learn all the little nuances that come with racing on the northern California track.
Apparently, Elliott’s a quick learner. After starting on the pole in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West™ race, he led nine laps en route to his first win in four series starts.
Elliott fans can own a piece of history when they order the Action Racing Collectables Raced Win die-cast of the No. 24
