Seven-time NASCAR® champion Jimmie Johnson will throw it back to 2012 in a one-time-only paint scheme for the
Bojangles’ Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.
As part of the Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR®, Johnson’s No. 48 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will be designed to
replicate the car he drove to his May 12, 2012 win at “The Track Too Tough to Tame”. Not only did Johnson dominate
the final laps of the race, leading from Lap 324 to the end, his victory also marked the 200th win for Hendrick
Motorsports in the sport’s top series.
Now the official die-cast of this landmark throwback is available to order from Lionel Racing. Each 1:24-scale replica
is available in two trim levels – an Action Racing Collectables (ARC) model that features an opening hood, and a fully
die-cast ELITE version that is built with both an opening hood and trunk.
Each ARC Collectable 1:24-scale hood open collectible die-cast includes manufacturer-specific engine detail, die-cast body, plastic chassis and detailed interior. Each collectible die-cast also features a DIN (Diecast Identification Number) for registration.
