2010 reissue vinyl LP. African reggae star Alpha Blondy fulfills a lifelong dream by travelling to Jamaica to record "Jerusalem" with the late, great Bob Marley's backing band "The Wailers" in 1986. Marley's music and message so powerfully affected a young Alpha Blondy that he gave up his studies and pursued music and the rastafarian faith. This native of the Ivory Coast sings in English, French and his native Dioula. The Wailers find the perfect groove, and together they spread a message of peace and love, while speaking truth to power regarding the problems of the world. Originally recorded and mixed at the Tuff Gong Studios in Kingston, this reissue captures the music perfectly.
