Limited double 180gm vinyl LP pressing of this 1979 live release by the jazz great. The Paris Concert: Edition Two is a live album by jazz pianist Bill Evans with Marc Johnson and Joe LaBarbera recorded in Paris, France in 1979 and originally released on the Elektra Musician label. Additional recordings from this concert were released as the Paris Concert: Edition One. Bill Evans was a jazz pianist and composer who mostly worked in a trio setting. Evans' use of impressionist harmony, inventive interpretation of traditional jazz repertoire, block chords, and trademark rhythmically independent, "singing" melodic lines continue to influence jazz pianists today. Evans would die less than a year after this album was released.
