Acoustic crust-punk rabble rousers Blackbird Raum present False Weavers, recorded at all-analog Tiny Telephone Studios with intricately detailed artwork by legendary Dungeons and Dragons artist Russ Nicholson. Blackbird Raum formed from the nucleus of a squatter community living in trees and abandoned buildings in Santa Cruz, CA, in 2005. They have since toured the world, from the squats of Greece to the dive bars of Alaska, emerging as an influential force in the global DIY community. Using instruments you might find in a bluegrass band, Blackbird Raum creates progressive folk punk with an often bleak and mournful flavor that is more reminiscent of black metal, crust, and neo-folk. This new album journeys through frantic acoustic hardcore to medieval folk-metal, to blissful chaotic sound collages. The LP includes a bonus 18 x 24 map of Known Lands in the Age of False Weavers by D&D artist Russ Nicholson.
Each record is protected within its record sleeve by a white vellum anti-dust sleeve.
