Limited vinyl LP pressing. 2016 release from renowned Australian band The Cat Empire. Rising With The Sun is an album that showcases their unique blend of ska, jazz and rock. It was recorded over the course of 2015, in between touring commitments which saw The Cat Empire play to a global audience of over half a million people, including headlining some of the world's biggest festivals, and a sold out show at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall. Rising With The Sun was recorded in the band's hometown of Melbourne, with sought after producer and long-time friend Jan Skubiszewski. The songs on Rising With The Sun feel explosive and custom built for festivals. The Rising With The Sun artwork is inspired by a traditional Mexican design known as an "Ojos de Dios" (Eye of God), these designs were traditionally created for a celebration, and often presented as a gift to bless a home. The cover art was created by local Sydney and ARIA Award winning artist Aaron Hayward. Inside, the booklet art features the faces of over 3500 lucky fans of The Cat Empire from around the world who were quick to respond to the band's call to fans to share their faces for the artwork.
Each record is protected within its record sleeve by a white vellum anti-dust sleeve.
