The strictly vinyl only crusade continues with the forthcoming release from Mukatsuku Records in the shape of the string laden disco bomb ´Real Clothes´ from the Japanese producer Ryota Nozaki under his Jazztronik personna. Nik has a long history with Jazztronik after having compiled with Jake Benhan the Jazztronik ´Inner Flight´ album back in 2001 for Counterpoint Records and having DJ´d with the live Jazztronik band and Ryota as a DJ several times in Japan and UK over the last few years. Mukatsuku as you may remember put out ´´Heat´´ on a 12 for MUKAT 013 ´Real Clothes´ was originally out only as a Japanese only vocal version on the Pony Canyon CD release ´JTK´ in late 2008. Mukatsuku unearth an exclusive unreleased disco instrumental version for the a side and flip it with a somewhat Boogiefied version from GUYNAMUKAT (the production duo of Guynamite & Nik Weston). GUYNAMUKAT are heavily influenced by the era of 1982 and have been quietly knocking out sneaky funk & boogie versions for theirselves plus completing remixes & edits for Mukatsuku label artists such as Big Bang, Kaleta & Akoya Afrobeat, GAGLE & Orquesta de la Luz plus mixes for Counterpoint and in particular Altered Vibes for a forthcoming 100 Strong release featuring Amp Fiddler. at present GUYNAMUKAT are working on a new boogie mix of the much hyped Makoto & KEZ YM nu jazz rendition of Herbie Hancock´s ´Chameleon´ which features the Rhodes playing of Takumi Kaneko from Japanese Trio Cro Magnon.
