In late 2010, Kimono Draggin' went into the studio for the last time with Producer/Engineer Matt Labozza. They layed down 10 songs. 2 of them were released on a 7'ep with UK's Bobbie Peru in November 2010. In March 2011, Kimono Draggin' disbanded, leaving behind the unreleased music....that is...until the general manager of Kimono Music/Spaynsive Productions, Christof Almondy, decided to release the last tracks as a limited color 12' LP called Kimono Gold. He set-up a Kickstarter for the project to raise the funds needed to release the album. The project was a success.
