UK vinyl LP pressing. 2013 sophomore album from the UK Indie Rock band, the follow up to their 2011 debut LP Gracious Tide, Take Me Home. On Until the Colours Run, Lanterns on the Lake are still blending Rock, Folk, and Electronics to create their own take on Indie/Alt-Rock. The album was recorded during financial and personal struggles, with brothers Adam and Brendan Sykes leaving the lineup. Joined by new bassist Andrew Scrogham, Lanterns on the Lake pressed on and completed the album. Until the Colours Run may contain some dark, political undertones but Wilde states: "For me the album is also bursting with a huge amount of color and life that reaches out from the darkness. Like the lyric, 'so we'll drink and we'll sing on the breadline.' It almost celebrates the feeling of there being nothing left to lose whilst we made the record. It feels like there is a story that runs through the songs, a personal journey through modern life - hope, despair, love and desperate times."
