LP version. Everyday Is Gonna Be the Day is the second album from Luca Sapio, one of the best white male vocalists on the contemporary soul scene. The album follows up his 2012 debut Who Knows, which scored him sold-out shows in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany, and a spot as a guest star on Die Harald Schmidt Show. Again the keyword is 'less is more,' says the singer. No trappings, no special effects; just songs, straight from the heart. The message is strong, especially in these dark days. 'Everyday Is Gonna Be the Day,' the one we've been waiting for, the day of change. The album was recorded live straight to tape with The Dark Shadows at Daptone Records, Brooklyn, and Diamond Mine, New York, and mastered by Grammy Award winner Brian Lucey at Magic Garden Mastering, Los Angeles. Arranged and produced by the soul music guru Thomas TNT Brenneck (who has previously worked with Charles Bradley, Amy Whinehouse, and CeeLo Green), Everyday Is Gonna Be the Day is a record that brings to mind the psychedelic mood of certain Italian soundtracks from the '70s along with a strong blues and gospel influence from the southern states. Since his 2012 debut, Sapio has performed in the best European clubs and venues supporting acts such as Paul Weller, Trombone Shorty, Lady, and Sharon Jones. Everyday Is Gonna Be the Day is recommended for fans of James Brown, Otis Redding, Sharon Jones, and Daptone Records.
Each record is protected within its record sleeve by a white vellum anti-dust sleeve.
