Limited yellow colored vinyl LP pressing includes digital download. Peter Case has been part of rock history for nearly four decades. In 1976, as a member of The Nerves, he recorded a track called "Hanging On The Telephone," made famous via a cover by Blondie in 1978. But, it was his band The Plimsouls that officially put him on the map. After being featured in the film Valley Girl, their "A Million Miles Away" became a mix-tape and radio staple. Since then, he has released 13 solo albums ranging from pop to rock to blues to acoustic - even garnering a Grammy nomination in 2007 for Best Traditional Folk Album. Not one to rest on his laurels, Case is proud to present HWY 62, his first new album since 2010, which brilliantly encompasses every facet of his diverse and critically acclaimed career. Much like a travelogue, HWY 62 includes pieces of Americana, blues, pop, and folk - all anchored by Case's knack for creating the perfect hook. Featured guests joining Peter on this journey include Ben Harper, Cindy Wasserman and David Carpenter (Dead Rock West), D.J. Bonebreak (X), Don Heffington (Lone Justice), and more. The album was co-produced by Case and Grammy winner Sheldon Gomberg (Rickie Lee Jones, Mark Eitzel, Ben Haprer with Charlie Musselwhite).
