Limited four track seven inch vinyl EP. This neatly packaged disc carries two popular Northern Soul sides. One is Bettye Swann's £100+ 45 'The Man That Said No' while the other is Bobby Angelle's alternate take on his oft-played 'Too Much for You', this time titled 'I'll Be a Soldier Boy'. This version was discovered in the vaults when Ace bought the Money label and is making it's vinyl debut here. To show the imprint's diversity (and because it is a corking song) we have chosen the M&M's & the Peanuts, doo wop meets soul, 'Lil' Valley'. That was the name of a tough South LA gang that used to chase M&M Willie Malone's outfit off the streets. That was until a big guy called Barry White joined and evened up the sides. Contrasting lyrically, musically and stylistically, 'I'll Just Walk Away' by Delilah Moore is a pretty early 70s female soul vocal that feels so good, despite the sad lyrics.
