In the rich tradition of jazz, the concept of 'cooking session' is likened to an informal jam, capturing the music's essence in the magic of the moment. This album was recorded in just such a way, aiming to pay homage to jazz as the 'art of now'. Tenor saxophonist Timo Lassy has cemented his position at the helm of the burgeoning Finnish jazz scene, having worked at the forefront of it's swinging contemporary jazz for more than a decade.
