Guns N’ Roses ushered in a new era of rock when their debut album Appetite For Destruction released in July of 1987. The band delivered a trio of singles in“Welcome To The Jungle,”“Paradise City,” and“Sweet Child o’ Mine,” that would propel the album to become the best-selling debut release of all-time. Appetite For Destruction has sold over 30 million copies and is still racking up sales.
The album cover artwork features the Guns N’ Roses Celtic cross, with each band member having their own skull on the emblem. Axl Rose thought up the idea, which was initially designed to be a tattoo by artist Billy White Jr. That logo has become a piece of music history since then.
