The Kill‘Em All Summer 83’ Tour was the beginning of Metallica’s journey to the top. It was Metallica’s first-ever tour, hailed as“The Fastest Show On Earth” due to their explosive musicianship. The Kill‘Em All Tour began just two days after the release of their debut album Kill‘Em All, taking them through venues across the United States with Twisted Sister, Anthrax, and Armored Saint.
Metallica’s prominence exploded through the course of this tour, making for this reissue a testament to a truly awesome piece of historical tour merch. The band designed the artwork for Kill‘Em All to draw in“real” metal fans by showcasing violence, with the tour merch built around that initial concept. The Kill‘Em All hand and hammer design covers a blood-spattered map of the U.S., a country about to get rocked by Metallica for the very first time.
