Look What the Cat Dragged In is the 1986 debut studio album of hair metal rockers Poison. Initially considered a"glorified demo" by the band’s lead singer, Bret Michaels, the album built word-of-mouth popularity over the course of'86, leading the band to major fame.
The surprise success of Look What the Cat Dragged In led to a tour of the US and Japan in 1986 to promote the album. The tour's inclusion of rock journalist Judy Wieder, who shared behind the scenes details of the band's triumphs and squabbles, helped keep the band extremely visible throughout each stop.
