Limited 180gm vinyl LP repressing includes digital download. Kenneth Earl Burrell was just beginning his long and fruitful career when he recorded this album. Belonging to a musical family, he began playing guitar at the age of 12. His influences as a guitarist include Charlie Christian, Django Reinhardt, and Wes Montgomery. Burrell's experience as a singer didn't just spontaneously begin in 1960 when the first session for Weaver of Dreams took place, as the liner notes to that album seem to suggest. Burrell is backed on various tracks by pianist Tommy Flanagan, who was also from Detroit, and a good friend of the guitarist.
