Singing sensation Britney Spears broke onto the scene in 1999 with her first studio album, ...Baby One More Time. Two albums later - and following a celebrated Super Bowl performance - Spears' 2001 release Britney marked a break from her earlier teen-pop sound, introducing more pop and R&B sound into her work.
With hit singles including"I'm a Slave 4 U,""I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman," and"Boys,"Britney also saw the star embracing a sexier side and finding confidence in her own voice. Spears herself also co-wrote on six of the tracks, taking a more active role in her third album's development - and showing a creators' pride at the album's success.
