Ice-T, an American musician, rapper, songwriter, actor, record producer, and author, is a cornerstone in the rap community. He began his career underground in the 1980s which inspired his debut albumRhyme Pays. This was the second hip-hop album to carry an explicit content sticker. The following year he founded the record label Rhyme $yndicate Records and released another album,Power which went platinum. He co-founded the heavy metal band Body Count which he introduced on his 1991 rap albumO.G.: Original Gangster.
“What Ya Wanna Do?” is a single released by Ice-T from his third studio albumThe Iceberg/Freedom of Speech…Just Watch What You Say and was released in 1989. The song was a posse cut and featured many artists from the collective Rhyme Syndicate: Bronx Style Bob, Divine Styler, M.C. Taste, and DJ Evil E to name only a few.
