When a band revolves around a duo of brothers as talented as the Angus brothers, it’s not surprise that AC/DC became and remain so popular. Formed in Sydney in 1973, the band themselves describe themselves as simply “rock and roll.” The band have sold over 200 million records worldwide, including 71.5 million albums in the United States. In 2010, VH1 ranked AC/DC in its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

By the end of the ‘70s, AC/DC had already released six studio albums, plus the live record, If You Want Blood You’ve Got It. The Australian hard rockers spent the decade breaking into the international mainstream—an uphill battle as the U.S. market wouldn’t even release their third album, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. That all changed with 1979’s Highway to Hell, which would be the band’s first to chart in America at No. 17 on the Billboard 100. Producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange, played a pivotal role in the evolution of the band’s sound, polishing Bon Scott’s vocal style, and working closely with Angus Young on the guitarist’s ripping solo from “Highway to Hell.” Tragically, the album would be the final AC/DC record to feature Bon Scott, who died just seven months later before the band could finish what would become their mega-hit record, Back in Black.

This well loved favorite features a classic crew neck, long sleeves and superior combed and ring-spun jersey cotton. Solid colors are made from 100% Airlume combed and ring spun cotton, 32 single 4.2 oz, while Athletic Heather is made from 90% Airlume combed and ring spun cotton and 10% poly blend. Care Instructions: Machine wash cold, tumble dry medium and use non-chlorine bleach when needed.
