AC/DChave been legends of rock and roll since their 1976 debut album High Voltage. The Australian band sprang to stardom with hits like“T.N.T.”“Live Wire,” and“It’s a Long Way to the Top(If You Wanna Rock‘n’ Roll)” featuring vocals and bagpipes by original singer Bon Scott.
The AC/DC Name was actually inspired by Malcolm and Angus Young looking at the initials“AC/DC” on their sister’s sewing machine. They wanted to make music that was electrifying, and alternating current/direct current was perfect. This would inspire the High Voltage logo to pay homage to this hard-rocking band. AC/DC has sold more than 200 million records worldwide and will forever be rock and roll royalty.
