Bruce Springsteen released his incredible debut album Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. on January 5, 1973, and the world got its first taste of the leader of the E Street Band. One of the greatest artists of all-time rocked our ears from the very first time “Blinded By The Light” hit record players around the world, and decades later, The Boss is still going strong and even releasing new music.
The colorful Asbury Park album art is distinctively Springsteen. A New Jersey native, the art designs inside each bold letter tell the story of where he’s proudly from. The album art was actually Bruce’s idea after he purchased a picture postcard from the Asbury Park pier. He felt it was the perfect representation of his home, had a great color palette, and expressed a simple and clear message to fans.
Well done, we say.
