Formed in 1971 by"Lonesome Dave" Peverett, Tony Stevens, Roger Earl, and Rod Price, Foghat is a beloved English rock band. Known for radio repeats like"Slow Ride," Foghat brought a boogie blues sound to their rock - along with the sumptuous squeals of the oft-featured electric slide guitar.
Following the"Slow Ride"-propelled fame of their 1975 album, Fool for the City, Foghat returned to record 1976's Night Shift, as well as release their widely-popular live album Foghat Live. As the band entered the 1980s, their sound shifted towards new wave and the line-up began to change. But, rather than breaking up the band, a current iteration of Foghat still plays today.
