The Grateful Dead logged over 2300 performances over 30 years of playing together, but the group’s Spring 1990 tour was special. Guitarist Bob Weir went on the record that this 90 tour was their“hottest” era, while Bill Kreutzmann said they“came alive again” and felt like they had thunderbolts coming out of their instruments there was so much energy. It was a glorious time for the band, and that’s why the box set of albums that finally released over a decade later(Spring 1990) was such a coveted collectible.
Luckily for everyone, the Grateful Dead’s Spring Tour 1990 t-shirt also made a return, and it’s absolutely glorious. The chieftain skull artwork is a perfect piece of Grateful Dead art, with their iconic red-and-blue lightning bolt emblem on the feather headdress bringing it all together. It’s a unique piece of tour merch that is an absolute must-have for any Deadhead.
