The third and final album released by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Electric Ladyland features classic tracks including the band's best-selling song, a cover of Bob Dylan's"All Along the Watchtower." The 1968 release peaked at No. 9 in the UK charts and 20th in the US, but remains a well-remembered album by a much-beloved artist, featuring in many best-of lists.
In more recent years, Electric Ladyland has been re-appraised as maybe Hendrix's best and iconic album in the history of rock and roll. Keep an eye on the order of your CD of Electric Ladyland though, as the vinyl release was originally released with sides 1 and 4 on one record and sides 2 and 3 on the other, and some CDs get that order wrong.
