Over the course of their 30-year career, Nine Inch Nails has unleashed numerous logos and unforgettable visuals, but none have been as popular as the band’s original box logo. It’s always been a must-have for any NIN listener, a true staple for any music fan’s wardrobe. The classic NIN letters, with the mirrored N, make for a perfectly symmetrical work of art. Everything about the logo feels right.
It was actually designed by the band’s art director, Gary Talpas, in 1990 for the cover of the single“Head Like a Hole.” Since then, the simplistic, three-letter design has been known as the band’s primary logo, and one of the most recognizable and beloved logos in music history.
