Feeling alive? We’re all still alive, as Pearl Jam told us in their 1991 smash single. This iconic song soared on the charts, considered one of their greatest hits. Part of a larger song series,“Alive” tells a story of a young man’s relationship with his parents. Even through there's shocking truth revealed, we can still move on.
The single’s art work is a stick figure drawing done by vocalist Eddie Vedder. Though a quick sketch, it has become an icon in the music world. The hands up in the air can be interpreted as giving up, or victory, just like the mixed meaning of the song. Sometimes, it's the simplest things that tell the greatest stories, and Pearl Jam’s hit, and this awesome stickman artwork, does just that.
