Canadian rock band Rush has been playing for millions of fans for over four decades. Featuring the talents of Geddy Lee(bass, vocals, keyboards), Alex Lifeson(guitars), and Neil Peart(drums, percussion). Rush is known for its musicianship, complex compositions, and eclectic lyrics drawing heavily on science fiction, fantasy and philosophy. The band has changed their style over the years but one thing remains the same; they are a force to be reckoned having sold over 25 million albums in the U.S. and over 40 million albums worldwide. They have been awarded 24 gold, 14 platinum, 3 multi-platinum albums, and were inducted into both the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
This shirt has the cover art of Rush’s debut studio album released March 1974. It features the hard rock sound typical of the bands emerging earlier in the decade. The original logo was intended to be red, but a printing error produced more of a magenta tone. Despite the printing error, the logo became synonymous with the band.
