The Misfits walk among you when you put on this classic tee. Formed in Lodi, New Jersey in 1977, the Misfits have defined and helped shape many genres of music to include horror punk, hardcore punk, and psychobilly. The original lineup consisted of Glenn Danzig (keyboardist), Jerry Only (bassist), and Manny Martinez (drummer). Although the drummer has changed multiple times over the band's career, Glenn and Jerry have remained. When Only’s brother Doyle recorded with them as a guitarist, the Misfits produced Walk Among Us (1982) and Eart A.D./Wolf’s Blood (1983), both of which are considered touchstones of the early-1980s hardcore punk movement.
The tees depict one of the most recognizable band logos of all time, a crudely reproduced skeletal figure. As the Misfits evolved and brought in the horror elements of the band, they released the “Horror Business” single in June 1979. The cover of this single featured the now-famous skull image, inspired by a 1946 film serial called The Crimson Ghost, which would soon become the mascot for the band and the Misfit’s logo for the rest of their career.
