Influenced by the likes of Buddy Holly, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Elvis and many more of the early rockers, vocalist Troy Shondell became a singing idol while still in his teens. He first broke into the limelight in 1961 with "This Time," a song written by the great Chips Moman, a man who would later become Elvis Presley's producer. "This Time" topped the charts for an unprecedented 16 weeks during the summer of '61. The rare tracks presented here feature a rare a side entitled "Gone," coupled with the lovely ballad, "Tears from An Angel," culled from the same sessions for the Everest label in 1963. Newly re-mastered. [Note: This product is an authorized, licensed CD-R and is manufactured on demand]This is a new, unopened CD in its original packaging.
