Handmade suede pouch cut from a bark tanned deerskin and dyed with walnut hulls. Features a double leather drawstring with vintage trade beads. Hand stitched accents with JM initials on the bottom of the pouch. Over time the walnut dye will fade and bleed and the deerskin will soften with use. Be mindful of crocking.
Bark tanning is the historical method of converting an animal hide to leather by soaking the skin in a "bark soup" for several months.
Each Barrett Alley item is completely cut and sewn by hand in Colorado - no machines or artificial materials are used in the construction of their products.
