Bum on the Carpet is a collective in which DJ, producer and label owner (Dopeness Galore, Amsterdam) Wouda works together with other music minded artists. Exploring the goal to bring life into a new vibe, be creates a 'melting pot' of sounds and live instrumentation. Wouda is influenced by artists such as Prince, Leon Ware, Miles Davis and Donald Byrd. With his love for jazz music, he developed the project 'The Timeless Interpretations' together with the long established jazz label from the Netherlands called: Timeless Records. The 1st record that come release from the project features: Jacob Malik Ladder' s (alias Kid Sublime)' Praise? a rework of Pharaoh Sanders' 'Afrika' and Wouda Boogie' s 'Jam in Pumpwork' a rework of Johnny Frif'n' s 'The Jamfs Are Coming ' the 2nd release of the project features Eddie Marshall' s 'The High Prestess of Gone ' interpret by Mark de Clive-Lowe & Bembe Segue as the Politik and Chet Baker' s 'Beatrice' twisted by Dutch producer I.N.T. featring the vocals of Melodee. 'Mood Swing' the first EP from Bum on the Carpet has gained good reactions in Japan, Europe & US. Now the new 12inch single 'Are U Down' featuring Kid Sublime on vocals, the kaleidoscope of Fender Rhodes, Bass, hip hop minded drum programming and Kid Sublime' s vocals let' s your remember the insecurity of first love. You can feel the crowd of Japanese cities like Tokyo and Osaka by the very cool 'Weebeedown Mix' from 'Are U Down' the city of Amsterdam is very true represented by 'Wouda' s Coffee Shop Remix?, a remix from 'Mood Swing' which Be ready, 'cause Bum on the Carpet will BUM the world!!!'
